ODF & fiber patch panels

An ODF quotation should identify both the rack enclosure and the optical components supplied inside it. Distinguish fiber capacity, front-panel adapter positions and rack height.

Configuration & specification checklist

FieldInclude in your RFQ
Rack formatSpecify rack width, rack height and depth limits; identify a requested 19-inch / 1U format where applicable.
CapacityState required fibers and front-panel ports separately, including any requested 48-fiber configuration.
Panel accessSpecify sliding/drawer or fixed construction and service access.
InterfacesList SC/APC, SC/UPC, LC or other adapter requirements, including simplex/duplex layout.
PopulationIdentify empty enclosure versus populated unit, including adapters, pigtails, trays and splice protectors.
InstallationProvide cable entry, fiber routing, grounding and mounting/accessory requirements.

Compatibility check

A requested 48-fiber panel is not a promise that every 1U layout accommodates 48 of the specified adapters. Check front-panel and internal drawings for the exact assembly.

Documents to request

  • Front/rear view and enclosure dimensions
  • Port map and tray arrangement
  • Itemized population list
  • Packing dimensions, accessories and applicable documents

Ask which documents are available for the exact proposed model. Certification, test reports and OEM options are confirmed individually.

Make the quotation useful

Ask for the empty enclosure and the populated configuration to be distinguished. State unit count and whether patch cords are a separate requirement.

Include destination country/port, requested date and quantity. Request itemized MOQ, lead time, payment terms and the required EXW, FOB or CIF basis. Freight and any local availability must be confirmed in the offer.
