Last-mile connections / CONFIGURATION GUIDE
FTTH drop cable
Specify the connection environment and termination method for the final drop. A flat black cable photo does not establish its fiber grade, jacket classification or suitability for an aerial span.

Configuration & specification checklist
| Field | Include in your RFQ |
|---|---|
| Fiber count | State the required number of fibers, such as a 1F or 2F project request. |
| Fiber grade | Specify the required fiber grade, including G.657.A1 or G.657.A2 where required by the project. |
| Construction | State flat or round profile and with/without messenger wire. |
| Environment | Confirm indoor, outdoor or indoor/outdoor use and the required jacket classification. |
| Lengths | List reel/coil lengths, total quantity and any pre-termination requirements. |
| Termination | Specify the matching connector and polish at the equipment or outlet interface. |
Compatibility check
Confirm bend-radius limits, installation tension and termination compatibility using the selected cable datasheet. Do not assume all drop-cable jackets meet the same fire or outdoor requirements.
Documents to request
- Cross-section and fiber specification
- Mechanical and bending requirements
- Jacket and applicable test documents
- Reel lengths, marking and packing details
Ask which documents are available for the exact proposed model. Certification, test reports and OEM options are confirmed individually.
Make the quotation useful
Provide both total length and reel length. Identify whether connectors or installation accessories are included in the requested price.
Include destination country/port, requested date and quantity. Request itemized MOQ, lead time, payment terms and the required EXW, FOB or CIF basis. Freight and any local availability must be confirmed in the offer.
